PIFEVA organized sessions to popularize laws and texts for the protection of women's rights (the law on SGBV DRC, 1325 and CEDF) in the territory of Mwenga

As part of the project Promotion and protection of women's rights and support for their socio-economic recovery in the territory of Mwenga with the objective of contributing to the strengthening of local mechanisms for the promotion and protection of the rights of women and girls and of support to the socio-economic empowerment of vulnerable and marginalized women and girls emerging from armed conflicts in the territory of Mwenga in South Kivu in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the NGO PIFEVA organized sessions to popularize laws and texts protection of women's rights (the law on sexual and gender-based violence DRC, 1325 and CEDF) in the territory of Mwenga in South Kivu.

Imediate Impacts

Community members including traditional leaders and politico-administrative authorities, young people as well as vulnerable and marginalized women (themselves) are mobilized and actively engage in the promotion and defense of women's rights and the fight against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Mwenga territory
